Radiofrequency ablation of tumours | AJ-500A
Percutaneaous radiofrequency ablation (RFA) of tumours
The reliable solution.
Laser ablation, irreversible electroporation, argon-helium cryoablation… over the past two decades, dramatic advances in imaging technology have steadily improved detection rates for neoplasms of all types, so the proliferation of tumour ablation options on the market comes as little surprise. Yet the tried-and-tested radiofrequency method remains the most widely used—practitioners around the world rely on it as a predictable and proven technique suitable for minimally invasive, laparoscopic, or open-surgical contexts.
As one of the most versatile radiofrequency tumour ablation systems on the market, the AJ-500A offers a range of ergonomic attachments for plug-and-play treatment of liver neoplasms, thyroid nodules and lung tumours. The thin, flexible needle probes feature a special non-toxic anti-adhesive coating, and their patented trihedral tips penetrate solid masses smoothly without the need for preparatory incisions. Up to three probes can be connected simultaneously for additional flexibility when treating larger masses; the system detects each automatically and calls up the corresponding interface(s).

Advantages for patients
- Allows non-surgical treatment—no incision, no scarring
- Quick method suitable for outpatient or day-case settings
- Stimulates body’s natural immune response, enhancing effects over time
- Minimises discomfort and facilitates quicker recovery
Advantages for practitioners
- Easy-to-use tilted touchscreen with preset parameters
- Pull-protection device prevents accidental cord damage or water ingress
- Temperature and impedance sensors prevent adhesion and carbonation
- Allows single-sided ablation for even more precise control
