Fistura® RF catheters
The innovative Fistura® procedure is a minimally invasive, sphincter-sparing method of treating anal fistulae using radiofrequency catheter ablation. Highly flexible Fistura® catheters help users follow the fistula tract easily, sealing it along its entire length in a matter of minutes. Markings along the catheter serve as a convenient visual guide: simply withdraw the catheter by one marking every 12 seconds. Moreover, the catheter tip has a thermal effect radius of just 3 mm, which prevents damage to the surrounding tissue.
Fistura® catheters are available in four sizes, depending on the diameter of the anal fistula to be ablated:
|Catheter diameter||2 mm||2.33 mm||2.66 mm||3 mm|
|Catheter weight||40 g||41 g||42 g||43 g|

The flexible Fistura® catheters are guided into the fistula and then gradually withdrawn, sealing the tract a few millimetres at a time using radiofrequency thermocoagulation.
