EVRF® – Endovenous radiofrequency generator
As a safe and effective alternative to conventional surgical options, minimally invasive radiofrequency ablation is becoming increasingly popular in a variety of medical disciplines. Although named for its original purpose as an EndoVenous RadioFrequency generator for treating symptoms of chronic venous insufficiency, the versatile EVRF can now be combined with a multitude of unique, proprietary disposables to treat various proctological, vascular and dermatological conditions, including:
- Varicose saphenous veins
- Varicose superficial collateral and perforating veins
- Telangiectasia (spider veins)
- Haemorrhoids
- Anal fistulas
Its plug-and-play technology makes preparation a breeze, and a convenient foot switch keeps both hands free when delivering targeted monopolar (4 MHz) energy. Parameter presets for multiple treatment types can be accessed easily through the touchscreen display, which tracks time and energy consumption (in joules) for each session.

Veineo® | RFA of varicose veins
True to its name, the EVRF generator is ideal for EndoVenous RadioFrequency ablation with the Veineo® procedure. Special Veineo® catheters are available in a range of sizes, depending on the type and diameter of veins undergoing treatment. The CR30i catheter is intended for veins 2-5 mm in diameter; the CR40i catheter is designed for perforating and collateral veins; and the CR45i catheter is tailored to saphenous veins.
Spider veins, another common manifestation of venous insufficiency, can be eliminated quickly and safely with the help of thermocoagulation needles. We offer the smaller K3i for facial treatments and the larger K6i for leg treatments, plus gold versions of each for patients with nickel allergies. The needles are inserted into an ergonomic handheld needle holder and used to deliver targeted RF energy along the vessel.
Rafaelo® | RFA of haemorrhoids
The Rafaelo® procedure is an innovative method of ablating Grade 2, Grade 3 and some Grade 4 internal haemorrhoids using radiofrequency energy. After inserting our specially designed HPR45i needle probe into the haemorrhoid, the practitioner applies targeted RF energy to induce thermocoagulation. We also offer the Sphera ball probe for cases requiring surface coagulation only.
Fistura® | RFA of anal fistulas
Radiofrequency technology gives providers a quick, easy-to-learn option for treating anal fistulae. Thin, flexible Fistura® catheters are guided into the fistula and then gradually withdrawn, sealing the tract a few millimetres at a time using radiofrequency thermocoagulation. The catheters are available in four sizes (6F, 7F, 8F and 9F), depending on the diameter of the fistula undergoing treatment.
